Opinions on this Setting

Long story short, I lost my wedding/engagement set. I am looking to replace it but since I have found this site I have become a little "setting obsessed" - anyone feel me on this one! lol

I already have the new stone: 2.11 round brilliant, e color, ideal cut, si2 and am really considering this setting. Totally different than the simple pave setting I was going to initially get (again, thanks to this site!) It is a huge investment so I wanted to get some opinions. Here it is in person, with a bad iphone shot, and then from 2 sites. I am also doing the matching band. Opinions?

Do you think it is too trendy? I am hoping for a lifetime ring (barring I throw this one away accidentally like the last)

I think it looks lovely and the matching band is very pretty. If you like it, I say go for it

Love the setting! its beautiful! I love round stones in a squarish halo. If it becomes out of style, you can always replace a beautiful colored gemstone in the setting

It is by Bridget Durnell. I am dying to get it. I made few minor changes to the ring so it is taking a little longer (been almost 4 weeks)....it was possible it was supposed to ship yesterday, but..no such luck. I am trying to be patient and not send any annoing "check in emails".

I was lucky enough to meet her in person and she is amazing. I will post pics when I get it (soon hopefully!)

ooo, I cannot wait to see pics. I''ve admired her work for a long time on Pearlmans site but have never seen one of her settings in person. Your set is just gorgeous!

I think it looks very nice. Halo styles have come and gone. But halos are a classic style and will come back.
