I have an opportunity to purchase this ring and I would like some opinions.

"Antique Art Deco ring is made up of Platinum and dates back to the 1910-20''s. The center of the ring is accented by a gorgeous DIAMOND which is 50 pts or 1/2 of a carat. The center Diamond is SI1 in clarity and H-I in color. The ring is also highlighted by 4 beautiful baguette cut Diamonds. The ring has a Total Diamond Weight of approx. 66 pts or 2/3 of a carat. The inside of the band is marked 10% IRID.PLAT."

What do you think?

I''m guessing it''s a European Cut diamond? What is typical for the 1910-20s?

It is difficult to see such a ring as Antique or Art Deco, but I suppose that might be written off as salesmanship. It looks like the stone is set low and nothing will catch on close. That''s a good feature.

Not much else to say one way or the other.
