The numbers on this stone look pretty good to me! Although it may face up a little smaller than other stones its size, the girdle thickness may help to prevent chips, and the difference between the depth and table looks really good! I would call that stone it to have it checked out!
So between this diamond and the one from my previouis post, does this one seem like the better deal. I am in the process of seeing if the broker I am dealing with can get this one so i cna compare the two.
Here are the specs from my previous post.
carat: .65
color: G
clarity: vs1
table: 74%
depth: 67.9%
flourescence: no
dimensions: 4.94 x 4.74
price with simple solitare white gold setting: $2180
The second stone has MUCH better potential! There are always exceptions with fancy cuts, but I would bet that the second stone will have a much higher crown and hence more fire. I realize there is a pretty big cost difference, but if I'm right the difference in cut will more than make up for it!
And MMM, glad to see we're on the same page yet again! How goes your own search? Feeling any different about your current stone? Hope all is well!
The princess cuts in the "signature collection" come with the specifications "crown above 10%" - which supposedly is a good thing. Is this one of them?
Given the weight and size difference between teh two stones you posted, I guess the second woudl have a thin girdle. If it is "extra thin" I would pass... in favor of something more sturdy.
Hi researcher!!! I'm definitely returning my stone...awaiting Jonathan to get back...I sent him three more...I'll send them to you too...I figure if he can get a few, I can pick one and get out of his hair quickly!
