The cut looks pretty good to me and seems to mask some of the color (?). I don't see a bowtie and it doesn't seem like the color is concentrated in the ends. Wondering if any experts could provide their opinion

This is a really nice oval. The faceting is way above average...almost as good as it gets without going with a branded oval.

You won't find the usual trapped color you find in most ovals but a K is a K so it will have a tint just like a round K stone has a tint.

How are you planning on setting it?

S/O prefers a yellow gold setting - maybe with a small pave. Do you think the color would hold up well in a setting like that?

Worried a little about the K color being too yellow but it's hard to tell from the pictures

The K will show, so I think you need to really rethink this because you are already questioning it. Also, VVS clarity with a K color just doesn't go together... I would say go lower on clarity and up on color. Or maybe go a little lower in ct wt....

With fancy cuts stones like ovals, you get what you get. The main concern is good light return due to nice faceting. If thats in a high clarity
so be it. They are not like rounds where you can pretty much order up what you want (and fairly easily be able to find it).

This stone is a K and will show some tint especially in such a big stone. You could order it(not set) just to have a look at it and see if the
color is tolerable or keep looking for a higher color.

I think it’s gorgeous, personally. I think it would look killer in an all 18k YG setting

You have found a lovely elongated oval, to get close to the mm size in a better color you are looking at spending an additional 10k+. I think if your intended is ok with warmer stones then you have a winner, you can also contact David Klass for a ver reasonable pave setting that has warmer color diamonds so the color isn’t as drastic against the center stone.
