Hi all! I have been a longtime lurker on PS, but I've never had any diamonds to post about.
My boyfriend and I have been in the process of finding a diamond for an engagement ring, and I've completely fallen in love with this Octavia: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/9580/
Shape: Asscher
Carat Weight: 1.23ct
Color: J
Clarity: SI1
Optical Symmetry: Octavia
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Fluorescence: None
Width: 5.96mm
Length: 5.96mm
Depth: 4.56mm
Table Percentage: 35.60%
Depth Percentage: 76.50%
Jonathan at GOG is going to upload a video of the diamond for me on Tuesday, and if we like the way it looks, we're going to go ahead and get it.
What do you guys think of this stone? I like the specs and I like the proportions of the stone. Is there any reason why this might not be a good buy, anything I should consider? Or do you think we've picked a good one?
By the way, a million thanks to Kenny, whose posts and photos are what got me into Octavias in the first place! I never would have found out about this cut if it weren't for Kenny and PS.
