I agree about the girdle, depending on the setting that might worry me.
Also, just so you know, it appears that one of the arrows is less visible than the others. I don''t know if it''s a cloud, or what it is, but just something I noticed because I crave symmetry.
OTHERWISE, the numbers look great and it is certainly a good price.
Crown height is a tiny bit larger than I like, but other than that the numbers look nice. I would call WF and ask them where the thin girdle is and I would probably buy a setting through them so that they take responsibility of setting the stone in case something happens to the girdle and it chips. Also, I''d definitely purchase insurance right away on any stone with a very thin girdle. As others mentioned, this stone has less than ideal symmetry. However, the light return is great and the stone is a really great value and faces up nice and large. The symmetry issue bothers some and not others, you''ll have to judge for yourself whether this will bother you.
I appreciate your feedback. It is so overwhelming looking for a diamond. How much of a concern are the polish and symmetry? I read the diamond tutorial and it seems that good is looked down upon. Additionally I''m planning on getting some kind of cathedral setting, would a very thin girdle be okay in that case?
I realize that most buyers have to make concessions when choosing a diamond. As you all have gathered mine were the ones mentioned above and the SI1. I THINK it looks like a good SI1.
I hope it''s okay to post this but I''ll step out of lurkdom to say I know this diamond. It is eye clean and actually sparkles quite well even though it doesn''t have ideal numbers.
Good luck on your search!
