I''m new to this group, though I''ve certainly read plenty of posts! Everyone''s opinions have been very helpful.

I bought the following ring from Blue Nile:

Style: Round brilliant
Grading: AGS and GCAL
Measurements: 7.68 - 7.72 x 4.63 mm
Cut: Blue Nile Signature Ideal
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Color: H
Clarity: SI1
Carat Weight: 1.62
Table: 56%
Crown angle: 34.5
Pavilion angle: 41.0
Pavilion depth: 60.1%
Girdle: 0.9%

I paid $11,200. Is this a fair price? The SI1 is reportedly eye-clean, though if I found out otherwise this week I''m sending it back.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Some stones for price comparison:

1.65 H SI1 GIA cert for $10500 (price discounted a further $263 if you mention finding it via PS) This stone has a good looking idealscope image and a score of 2.0 on the HCA (versus your stone's 1.6).

1.52 H SI1 "A Cut Above" for $11,098 (discounted about $550 if you mention finding it via PS)

1.71 H SI1 "Signature Ideal" AGS cert for $12185

1.56 H SI1 H&A for $10945

The only stone that I found that seems like a better buy is that first one, which is not being sold as a hearts and arrows stone (but you can look at the image for yourself and decide). However, despite being 0.03ct bigger than your stone, they will look the same size due to their diameters. And then there's the question of whether or not this or that stone is eye-clean, which would make a difference.

BlueNile tends to be more expensive than the average PriceScope dealer, but that makes sense . . . they are a big outfit with a lot more employees and customer service. So you may want to pay more knowing that you have that big company there if you have questions or want to upgrade later. BlueNile has very competitive prices compared to a local store you might walk into.
