I can''t tell if the inclusions would be visible, I also can''t tell if it''s a good diamond because I don''t have a clue (I am learning, gradually!)
Thanks

Manisha

You can''t judge visibility of inclusions from plots or pictures. Your best bet is to call GOG and ask if it''s eyeclean by your definition.

Thanks, mailed them. Do the other things look good, is ideal cut good?

I wonder why the AGS report calls them "Cushiom Modified Brilliant". Cushiom? It''s not just this particular diamond, it''s all the other AGS graded Jubilees on the GOG website.

With this particular diamond, it''s I1 but all the characteristics are clouds. You should ask how much the clouds affect the transparency.

It looks like a pretty good deal to me. But best to get a video of it from GoG if possible, just to get that I1 clarified.

It must be a typo!

Mani wmw is right, check the clouds don't impact brilliance, I doubt it with a hand selected stone of Jon's but no harm in asking and check it is eyeclean to your standards also.

I noticed that too... weird! I was loooking at the Octavia (again..!) and saw that it was called an emerald cut?

Also one other thing - I downloaded Gemadviser and the weight is significantly lower (0.78). Is this normal? It also seems to have a lot of darkness in it but also seems to sparkle a lot when I looked at it in gemadviser...The cut looks very good but i''ve spotted the inclusion now (how did I miss that?!)

I have contacted GOG but by email, which may prove a bit lengthy, maybe I should just call...

someone help...

i was putting the stone into the HCA and it said this:

"The total depth % you entered suggests the girdle is overly thick,
or the data you entered is incorrect."

Am i doing something wrong? Or is the girdle overly thick? If so, what does this mean?

HCA is only design for modern round cuts, not applicable to other shapes.

Asscher is a trademark name not a standard cut, GIA will not name even a royal asscher by that, although GIA has a weird naming convention too.

Not sure about the gemadviser. Which stone is that? Link?

its this one http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6668/

but on inspection, the inclusion looks to be pretty obvious. like a big square in the centre.......

Well, it is an I1 clarity grade, what did you expect? Probably visible. :P Still you can check with GOG, maybe it is, no way to tell from images.

damn this budget! I am sooo tired of searching for a diamond within such a teeny tiny budget and such specific tastes (i want a jubilee)

I give up!

Don''t. As I said, it might not be that visible, there are eye-clean I1 around, check with GOG.

I heard back from GOG - apparantly its an unusual inclusion but it''s white co kind of blends in with the sparkle. I think I''ll hold off on it though, as Sarah did mention it''s quite obvious.

So the search continues! I don''t know if GOG have other stones that aren''t on their site, or can order in stones specifically for a person, but I''ve given Rhino the specs I am looking for including the setting and the budget... hopefully i''ll be able to find something!

I felt a bit deflated because I''ve been the one reading up on diamonds, watching Rhinos (is to OK to call him that?!?! lol) videos til 4 am, shouldnt the guy be doing that? I guess I just want to make sure he gets the best for his money, for my sake!

So excited though, I really hope GOG come through with something that''s affordable for me. I am a bit nervous as I know the Tacori setting is pretty expensive
