Opinions on this diamond please?

Hi all,

I am new to this forum but so far have found it very informative, so thank you all very much.

I am looking at purchasing a 2 carat brilliant cut round diamond for an engagement ring, and this was suggested to me (report attached):

Clarity SI2 +
Cut Excellent +
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Very Good
Fluorescence None

I realize it is compromising on Clarity for other areas, but the adviser said that the main large inclusion on the side would not be very apparent with the naked eye, and may be covered partially by a prong.
This diamond is within my budget (just!) - because of the lower Clarity. To improve the Clarity I would need to reduce the Carat size which I would prefer not to do, unless this diamond's Clarity will be compromising it too much.

My 2 cents:

- I dont like the inclusion (its mostly a feather (crack) in the diamond near the girdle), so I dont know how intelligent it is to put a prong there (and apply force on it). Maybe there is also risk of chipping...

- The cut is als not ideal (high pavillion angle ==> i would accept max 41.2° or even 41.° plus the symmetry is only very good)

I think you can do better!
