Helping my nephew with finding a cushion diamond for his future bride. Please let me know what you think of these two stones. I started a thread a few days ago however, I am not able to locate it?

Do you have a picture of the setting he wants?

I agree, I like the G VS2 a little more than the other.

Thank you Gypsy and DS (and ADN) - He and I will be going over the stones and ring styles later today. I'm glad to have your input and appreciate your time. Will let you know ring style and his thoughts on this cushion.

Gypsy - I've read some of your input on other cushion threads, just to get an idea of what others are thinking and of course - very interested in what you're thinking! I noticed that you recommended Brilliantly Engaged and David Klass for the engagement ring. I do know that he's interested in platinum with pave down the sides of the ring. No halo and width of ring about 2.5mm. My only concern is the quality of the pave. Since this will be purchased online, I don't want a ring where the pave will fall out and he will then need to have repairs. She is a Nurse, nothing too rough on the hands. Which vendor do you feel can make a good quality ring? Appreciate your input.

Can't check the links on my phone. Will do tonight.

So he just wants a pave solitaire. Wbat is the budget? There are many options.

Hi Gypsy - hoping to keep the setting in the $2,000 to $2200 range. Total budget, including stone around 11,000 or so. I spoke with David Klaas this afternoon and they feel they could make a nice ring within his budget. Your thoughts on their quality? Thank you Gypsy. Always value your opinion. Been wanting to say this to you - every time I read one of your posts, I feel as though I'm speaking to a cat! And, we have a black and white cat who looks the same.

Thank you Gypsy, especially for tolerating my being all over the place with this. That should do it for now - I'm now allowing my Nephew to take a breather and take all of this in. It's tough for a youngster to drop $10,000 + on a ring. I appreciate all of your input. :))

I think that's a good idea.

Present him three stone options. A G, an H and an I. And 4 settings.

More will overwhelm him, most likely.

Yes, I think he's leaning towards that 1.71 I VS2 that you approve of. Will let you know his decision. This is very exciting!!
