Hello fellow PSers!

After having my first taste of an antique OEC, I am now fascinated by the antique cushions!! Bad for my wallet Unfortunately, I am not in the US and I would rather not deal with returns, customs etc and therefore would love to hear views/advice on this AVC:

Would this stone be great performance wise and not show too much yellow tint from the video? GoG told me that it would be a bit tinted but still has a nice performance.

Thinking of this setting in yellow gold:

Thank you!

I'm not an authority but I had an AVC once in a pendant. I loved it, I loved it so much I gave to my son for his now wife's engagement ring! It was K color. I think yellow gold will beautiful, I think 18K would be best. I hope you will post pix if you buy it! Can't go wrong with an AVC imho.

Just to be clear, an N-colored AVC will show a definite tint ranging from ivory to yellow depending on lighting situation. A yellow gold setting will accentuate any tint.

I do think this AVC is beautiful, and would be lovely set in 18kt YG. But whether the tint is "too much yellow" really depends on your personal tolerance and color preference.

If you prefer a diamond in the D-I range, I don't think an N-diamond set in 18kt YG will work for you.

If you are unsure whether the N is for you, given the constraints and costs involved with a return from your country, I'd suggest holding off on your purchase until you can either find some N diamonds in your area or perhaps save more and increase your budget.

You will never get an N coloured stone to look like a G or a H or even an I or a J, old cuts are far more interesting and pleasing generally to look at in mid to lower colours than modern cuts IMHO but only you know what you do and don't like. And if not, you possibly need to go and see diamonds in a range of colours in order to decide.

It will be a lovely light yellow. Can't go wrong with an AVC.

Thank you all for the replies!!
