Hey guys,

I posted before asking for help on what to look for and was told to use these parameters on a round diamond:
Table: 54-58
Depth: 60-63
Crown: 34-36
Pavilion 40.6-41

So, I found this diamond:
http://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/I-VS1-Affinity-Cut-Round-Diamond/D33540502

It pretty much fits the criteria and the Holloway Cut Adviser score is a 2.3 (which isn't excellent, but it isn't bad)

I just wanted to see what your opinions on it are. Is that a solid pricing for the rock??

THANKS GUYS!

Oh, you've got 2 critical numbers wrong on your list.

Table: 54-58
Depth: 60-63 should be 60-62.3
Crown: 34-36 should be 34.0-35.0 (and maybe up to 35.5 with a 40.6 crown angle)
Pavilion 40.6-41

So your depth is a little over but not bad, but the crown angle is really off. This is not a stone I would consider without an ASET image, but it likely has some leakage with a 36.5 crown angle.

How would I asses the ASET image?

also, by the parameters you gave me, I found this one here. is this any better?

Just by what I've seen in the links you have shared I definitely like the second one better. But, I am sure there are experts that can give you the specifics as to which diamond would be your best choice.

Although you have done well to pick a diamond with good numbers, I would avoid that WF stone as it is 'very good' cut grade. This means GIA saw something they didn't like with the diamond that reduced it from excellent to very good, maybe heavy painting or digging (see diamond education links at the top).

Try to stick within the parameters quoted above AND excellent cut. Whiteflash have fantastic inhouse stones, ACA, expert selection etc but for virtual stones I would say James Allen is easier as there are 360 degree videos.

I think this is pretty close to something I'd want to buy. Do you think it's priced well?
