Opinions on these for studs?

I have a 2ctw pair of diamond studs on my bucket list. I really haven’t been looking for any as it’s not a priority but came across these on JbG - could I have some opinions please?

They aren’t quite 1ct each but seem to be a good price for what will be close to that effect. I suppose that’s a good way to go. I can live without them being the full carat if it gives me some money to play with for other things.

I used to spend a lot of time looking at Pricescope plotting future purchases and learning but my kids have sucked all my time and energy so now I don’t feel I know what I’m looking at other than they look sparkly. I’d love your guidance and opinions please?

I meant to ask - are they well priced? I don’t know what diamond prices are doing these days. I’m not in a rush but would be tempted if this was a good time to get them.

Just giving this a hopeful bump - anyone?

They look beautiful to me. I'm an old cut person and buy pretty much based on my eye and the eye of vendors I trust, and I'd trust JbG.

I don't really know about price. I just bought a pair of 1.25ctw studs for $1800 so it seems high, but then mine are much lower colored and not GIA certed. I've seen 1.5ctw pairs for $5500 so $6400 doesn't seem unreasonable for what look like a very nice pair. I wouldn't say they're a super deal though, you could find cheaper if that was a priority over color, certs, etc.

Thanks elrohwen. I’ve bought from JbG before and I agree about trusting her. I’m actually overseas so have to purchase unseen and wait till I can visit to collect. Who knows when that will be now?! I think I’d rather purchase color, size, certs and have a pair I love forever, if there’s any doubt I’ll want to upgrade them in the future it’s just too much hassle.

I’d had my heart set on a 2ctw pair but I do have fairly small lobes and wear 1ctw now and they don’t look tiny. Going just under would seem a sensible thing to do to get the look but reduce the price. Hmmm...

At 3.5k each, I think it is fairly priced (a tad expensive to be honest by 5~10%). But you are getting matchifng stones at once.
Reasonable.

Lovely pair, but they seem a tad bit high (priced) to me, though the faceting and overall look is great and they look well matched. So that might be worth the premium to you.

Thanks for the replies. I've been thinking about this - given that I'm outside the US and I wouldn't buy them where I live I think, for me, having matching stones at once is worth the premium. Otherwise it's just too much hassle getting to that point.
