Opinions on these estate OEC studs?

I've been looking for some ~1ctw studs, preferably OECs which narrows things down a bit. I found these on eBay -- they're estate, ungraded. Estimated to be ~0.6-0.65 carats each, J SI2. Set in double four prong 14k white gold settings, total price $1750. I haven't seen them in person, they couldn't provide a video, but the pictures look pretty bright to me (one stone looks better than the other, but it may just be the angle the photo was taken).

I did purchase them, but I can return them for a full refund. They won't get here until next week, but based on the pictures, can I get some opinions? I was too afraid to post the listing here before I pulled the trigger because I've had things get purchased out from under me before after posting them here. For the price I felt like I couldn't beat it -- I really wanted a pair of AVR studs, but it would have been more than twice the cost.

I can't really tell a thing from the pictures, but they have potential. My biggest concern would be that they are really I1, so you need to be sure they don't have any major feathers (cracks) or clouds that would hurt light return. I'd probably have a jeweler look at them.

they look promising despite the blown out/washed out photos. J in old cuts aren't as noticeable IMO as a modern J so you should be fine with the color if you were worried about that.

I'm super curious about the SI2, the photos make it super hard to tell

I hope they turn out amazing, because the price is GREAT for them, well below retail, and should appraise for a bit more than what you paid. I say this because I have a set of old cuts with almost the same stats (VS instead of SI) that appraised for about 1k more than you paid. :D

I think they look promising too UberClaire, but I agree it's hard to tell much from the pics. That is certainly a good price - I hope these work out for you! Let us know what you think when you get them.

Thanks for the encouragement! I'm glad you agree on the price -- the AVRs I was looking at, one or both would have had to be an I1 (albeit a graded I1, I know that I really have no idea what these are going to be), but it would have been much, much more expensive. Hopefully these turn out well -- I'll try to post more pictures and videos when they get here.

They look very pretty. I hope you are thrilled with them when you get them. The settings are really nice.
Looking forward to photos!
