I would appreciate some feedback on a couple of diamonds that I have seen. Both are cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliants.
The specs from the first one, as taken from the GIA cert, are as follows:
0.93 ct
5.70 x 5.11 x 3.92
F colour
VS2 clarity
76.7% depth
59% table
medium girdle
no culet
no fluor
very good polish
good symmetry
The quoted price for this stone was $6,100. Also, on the certificate it states "characteristcs: feather". Is this referring to the inclusions in the stone? If so, what does it mean?
The specs for the second stone are as follows:
0.94 ct
5.59 x 5.57 x 3.92
F colour
VS1 clarity
61% table
13.8 crown height
35 degree crown angle
52.1 pavilion depth
70.4 total depth
medium girdle
The quoted price for this second stone was $6,175. These specs were taken form a card from the manufacturer whcih is guaranteed to match up to any GIA or AGS grading.
What do you think of these diamonds? Are the prices a little on the high side?
Thanks in advance for any input you can provide.
