Hello all!

I just discovered gems this year and although have been a collector of many other things, gems are a new obsession. I picked up a few paraibas and still have a hard time judging them as I have only seen one other in person.

I've read of lot of threads and there are some very knowledgeable people here on PS which is very helpful for us new collectors so thank you.

Here are some pics and thanks for any help and opinions.

The sizes in the previous pictures are 5.13 (GIA -no location), .60 no cert, .28 no cert. Here is another one that is 1.06 carats with a GIA Brazil cert.

The color and glow on that last piece is stunning! Good find!

What a nice stone to collect, eh? :Up_to_something: From your pics it appears that yours range from mediocre to good quality stones. Do you know treatment levels on any of them? I agree that the oval is the nicest -iIt would be nice if it has a Brazilian pedigree. :))

The 5.13 is the only one that is Mozambique, the other three are Brazil. The two small ones are from Paraiba International and say heat on the sheet they sent. The 5.13 and 1.06 have no treatments according to GIA certs.

I have a jeweler who will come up with designs locally. He has done all my appraisals and gives me advice. I will take these to him this week to get his opinion on the stones. I bought twenty each of the 1.0,1.3 and 1.6 melees from Yvonne and have some diamonds for him to work with. My daughter has some ideas of what she wants to do as well.
