I used the price comparison tool and have two stones that I thought were nice. Just seeing if there was a big reason why I should choose one over the other. Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

I honestly think I don't need it to be at VS1 quality, but I just don't like the "large" inclusions in an SI1, even if only 1 in 100 can see them. Also think H color would suffice, but maybe it's not a big deal either.

Also, another sidenote, my g/f honestly doesn't know a thing about diamonds, I could get a CZ and she would never know the difference. I just want her ring to be better than all her friends whose husbands bought their rings from Zales or whatever and didn't get an ex-ex-ex-vg cut type of thing which is the most important factor by far. Should I settle for SI1, H quality?

in this size, H SI1 is very nice quality.

I would only think someone might want to step up from H SI1 if they could afford it and they were looking in excess of 2 or 3 cts.

I have an H SI stone and the inclusion bothers me more than the color, as I can see it in some lights. BUT there are other people that are color sensitive and would prefer G to H but don't care a whit about my little sometimes-visible usually-not inclusion...

Its really up to you and your priorities. H/SI1 is perfectly lovely, especially in this size range, and if you ask WF about eyecleanliness of SI stones they will give you an opinion. And some other ps vendors, but *not* necessarily a generic online vendor.

Me personally, I would squidge up a bit in size if it were in budget, and go with H/SI but eyeclean. If this is your preferred size and you just want to know what is worth paying for and what is not, I would go with G/VS2 in an ideal world, and H/VS2 next, but again those are my priorities. I am fine with H color in a non-ginormous stone but more eagle-eyed on the clarity. If they don't have a suitable stone with exactly the right specks in stock then G/VS1 is not going to be too much more $$ and would be completely eye- and mind-clean.

Good luck, your choices look lovely!

H/eye-clean SI1 is usually a good value. You get more diamond for your dollar and the color and inclusions are not noticable.
Make sure it is eye-clean to your standards though.
