Symmetry G
Cut 0.2% PERFECT SQ
Cert GIA

Thanks in advance.

INTERESTING!!!! I'm not a fan of X-thin girdles b/c of chipping problems...BUT, that looks really great so far...I would definitely have them run more tests or call it in to see!!! That's a great depth and a great table!!!

I agree with MMM (what's new?). You will need to get a Sarin report to see where the girdle is XTN and whether those places can be protected with prongs. Also, you will want to make sure the jeweler will be responsible if the diamond breaks during setting, as the corners sometimes do when they are too thin.

Thanks for the replys guys. So the girdle is the only potential issue? I'll try and get a sarin report on the diamond, and let you know the outcome.

Alternatively, what is the best girdle thickness to get? Thanks again.

I would say it's not too important and that there is no "right" girdle...I forget what gemappraisers lists as a 1A...but I just don't like X thin for chipping reasons or very thick b/c it holds weight...I do like a med to slightly thick myself...but it's not a real issue! As long as you insure the stone (the X thin), then I wouldn't worry about it TOO much...but try to find out where it's X thin like researcher said!
