Hi all, this is a diamond I think I''m going to purchase. Just wanted comments and opinions before I do. From doing research here and elsewhere I know GOG has an execellent reputation, thats not my concern. My concern is, have I made the right choice from the thousands for diamonds available. It''s a 0.7ct G VS1 GOG Signature Princess Cut. I know it''s not huge, but it''s within my budget. I''m going to have it mounted in a three stone ring with approx 0.30ct to 0.35ct side stones. Attached are links to the diamond and a ring close to what I want. Thanks.

Diamond looks great! .70ct is a nice size, especially in a three stone. Please post pics of the ring once you get it all finished.

That is a gorgeous princess diamond, and the size is good. I just did a little search and it looks like you have found the best AGSo that is in house at GOG and WF. But stock is really low now, I think you could find a slightly larger diamond for your money if you wait until the new year and dropped clarity and maybe color a bit? But I don't know your budget or your preference.

In a three stone, might I suggest smaller side stones? There is only a .90mm difference between a .70ct princess and a .30ct princess, so the three will look very similar in size. It may be the look you or your gf wants. But perhaps consider using .20ct sides, which will make the center diamond pop more with a 1.6mm difference in size. Just my suggestion!

Did you gf request a three-stone?

Yes my GF did hint toward a three stone ring, she likes "square" and "chunky". I''ll definiately discuss the smaller side stones with my jeweler when I find one. I could wait a little longer as my I was shooting for Valentine''s Day, but I''m afraid if I wait, I''ll miss out on this diamond. I don''t really want to go much larger as my GF hinted she does not perfer the look of larger solitaire style.

Well then there you go. It is much simpler to judt have GOG make the setting. Is there a reason you don''t want to do that? They do excellent work should be able to take a setting like that easy peasy. The reason I suggest it is that is that GOG will be responsible for the diamond during the setting process whereas another jeweler will not be.

Thats a lovely stone!

Beautiful stone and Perfect setting. (I am partial because it is so close to the Verragio 3064P that my BF just ordered) Can''t wait to see hand shots next year!!!!
