Opinions on a marquise ASET

I wonder if the resident fancy experts (and anyone else interested) could comment on this marquise cut from JA. https://www.jamesallen.com/mobile/l...cut/2.43-carat-i-color-vs1-clarity-sku-685096
ASET is attached. I'm afraid it's not great due to the relatively low amount of red I'm seeing. Let me know what you think!

I'm not an expert on marquises, but having looked at a few previously, that actually looks like a pretty good ASET for a marquise - I don't see much leakage in comparison to other marquise ASETs I've seen. I think of a good marquise ASETs as similar to oval ASETs in that the appearance of the ASET / amount of light return expected on those shapes should not be compared to a round - in other words, don't expect the large swathes of red that you see on round diamond ASETs.

I dont love it I wish it has more red and blue in there. It's just green.

I can not comment on a specific stone, but these are general comments:
The ASET is telling us that the stone gathers a lot of light from lower angles- that's why we see a lot of green. That's not bad or good- it's just how the stone behaves.
Although there's so called "information sites" that try to define red as good and green as less good, that does not hold true as a real life rule.

Many stones with a similar aset will be very lovely in person- but that's no guarantee.

I think it looks pretty typical...not great but not bad. Marquise asets arent typically very pretty. Do you have a link to the stone
so we could have a closer look? Sometimes when stones turn more facets come into focus (sometimes they're just mush). For me,
seeing how a stone looks as it moves (rotates) is a great help.

Edit...I think it looks nice...you're OK with the color? If you dont like it when you get it, JA has a good return policy (I know that
would be a pain in the butt but if it's not a keeper then send it back).

Thanks for all of the input!

The stone is shipping to me soon, so I'll get to see it in person and make a final decision. I hope that it'll face up with minimal bow-tie and an acceptable color with the fluorescence taken into account (in sunlight).
