Hi everyone!

link: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/10477/

I found this at GOG for under $7000! I have been talking with David and he has assured me that the consensus from the people at GOG that it is 100% eye-clean. The pictures show H&A and it has an HCA score of 1.5! Anyway, I was trying to find comparable diamonds with H&A and I'm not sure how to find them to tell that this is a good price. Please let me know!

ETA: I am considering this for a pendant which may or may not be set in a ring much much later on!

Wow thanks JulieN! That was such a quick response! How do you know if these have H&A? I thought that if they had that feature the vendors would be sure to say that.

Oops, sorry. These are not H&A, but they are nice ideal cuts. Not sure if you can get a strict H&A for 7000.

Now I'm confused.. does that mean the stone from GOG doesn't have H&A? If it does, does that mean I got a good find?! Ahh I'm excited! I'm supposed to go in next week to see it in person!

Now I feel kind of dumb ;( I noticed that this stone listing didn't have that label too, but there were still pictures of the hearts and arrows. Doesn't the pictures mean that it has H&A... or what does it mean?

Most finely cut diamonds that you will see on PS have arrows from the front, and hearts from the back. The presence of hearts and arrows does not make it a "hearts and arrows" diamond, it is a matter of how closely those arrows and hearts adhere to a standard that makes it "H&A." GOG displays the hearts images for their premium rounds because that is their business model. They give their customers tons of information because some people really like that.

Other vendors like Brian Gavin, Whiteflash, James Allen, do not provide hearts images for non H&A stones for several reasons, one of which is to cut down on confusion like this.

Thank you so so so much for clearing that up for me! You're awesome!
