Pretty deep, and I don't love those crown and pavilion angles. You can find better by numbers. Did you like it with your eyes?

A steep/deep. The cutter left on as much weight as he could to get it over the carat mark, while just barely scoring a GIA EX rating. I'd keep looking it I were you. :knockout:

I wonder what the diamond would have weighed had it been cut to be beautiful. Certainly less than a carat, which would have gotten the cutter into trouble for loosing 20 - 25% of the value of the stone.

It should be pretty cheap compared to a pretty diamond, but since it has the ridiculous GIA "Excellent for almost everything" grade it still probably is selling for more than it is worth.

Thank you for not putting the identity of the vendor information so that we in the trade can answer your questions about this diamond.

P.S. When and if you get to see this next to a properly cut diamond, you will see a dramatic difference in the diamonds.

Gotta love those GIA Excellent Cut parameters. So wide, you could drive a truck through them.

"Life is like GIA Excellent. You never know what you're going to get."
