hello.
My ering and wedding band are diamond pave and are 2mm wide (about 2 pointer melee). The wedding band is .75ct. I'm considering purchasing a 1ct eternity to wear in the other side of the ering but it is 2.5mm (my current wedding band and new are by the same manufacturer so the style of pave will be the same). Do you think it will look out if place and be noticeably non-matchy?
Thanks!

Hi there! Hmmm, that's tricky. I think .5 mms is juuuust wide enough to be noticeable but not by much. I don't think this is a bad thing. I like non matchy, but it is personal preference. It will likely look cohesive given that the pave and the style of the band are the same. Are you able to go to a jeweler and try on a similar band to see how it would look?

I agree with ihy138, it would probably not be very noticeable but it depends on what you think about it. I like the idea of trying on a similar band to see how it looks.

I prefer similar widths. 0.5 is a bug enough difference that it would bother me. However, everyone is different. Maybe the difference won't bother you. I think you will just need to try a bunch on and see.

Not a bad thing at all! I have more than one set of rings. My daily wear is a 2.3mm Grace halo with a 2.4mm channel set eternity band, and my fun set is about 10mm wide with a 3mm channel set band. I rarely wear e-ring and band of the same size. If the diamonds are about the same size in each ring, it works. It's when the diamonds are noticeably larger than the engagement ring's accent stones that it can look off to some people, but it's your set of rings. Life is short, wear what you love!

Thanks everyone! I tried on a few options and the width difference wasn't a big deal. But in the process I decided that I the look of really non-matchy bands, even with colored stones. And to not wear on either side of the erring but a stack instead. So no I'm going to be hunting for those. I really like this style or similar with beading - any suggestions. These are fun rings, so the cheaper the better (I'm not opposed to preloved). Thanks so much sapphire_band_1.jpg
