Opinion Should I Rodium Dip my old Engagment Ring

Hey PS all this discussion over the past few days has intrigued me to pull out one of my old engagment rings.

My DH gave this to me 25 years ago its a 1.44 trillion G color VS1 with 2 side trillions set in YELLOW GOLD

I do not wear it as I prefer white metals.

My question to you is how do you think it might look rodium / or white gold dipped.

In your opinion do you think I'll wear it more.

I think that's a really cool ring design! And I think with its mod vibe it would look gorgeous in white gold. Try it!

Love this ring! I really like it in the Yellow Gold - great contrast with the white white diamonds - but if you really don't ever wear it, then for sure I think it is worthwhile to have it rhodium-dipped. If it is dipped, it is more likely you may choose to wear it, but really only you know for sure if it is only the yellow gold holding you back from wearing it, or if there are other reasons (i.e., maybe the ring is uncomfortable to wear? or trillion diamonds are not your cup of tea? or you have other favorite rings you always gravitate to?)

You can give it to me.....I would happily wear it! I like it the way it is, but I think I would like it in white gold too...

Thanks Nala and Marymmm...I'm wearing it today. Maybe it will turn into my new thing LOL..I was going to take it off the insurance policy when I got my new diamond studs but I thought twice and said no because then i'd have to have it reappraised. So I guess I will try to wear it more. Still thinking about having it dipped though.

Rhodium dipping is not expensive. If you don't like yg, it seems like a no brainer to me. I have dipped a few pieces since I found a jeweler that does it for a few bucks on Chicago. No regrets.

Thanks Charmy Poo.... it is a comfortable ring and its unusual but I wear a pink gold ring on my middle finger and my platinum eternity band on my other hand so the yellow gold adds too much color

Definitely give it a dip! I plated a few of my pieces and I wear them much more now.

Cool ring! I had my original ering dipped and now wear it as a RHR. Those diamonds would also look great in a pendant.

Not sure about the pendant maybe little studs but since DH gave it to me I don't want to take it out of the ring as I already had my original engagement ring made into pendant then it got stolen and now I wear my mother's engagement ring so don't want to upset him.
