What are your thoughts on this diamond? I only have specs. No pics yet. Is the table too big or does it just face up big? With just seeing the cert, do you think the indented natural on the underside be hidden with a halo setting?

Not a good stone ...the table % is > depth %...

So, when the table% is > depth%, it is bad? Why is it bad?

For instance, this stone(see link) here has a table % > depth% but it is an GIA EX cut and has a 1.3 HCA. Is it a bad stone?

Also, what are your opinions on the JA stone? Or should I forget about any stones with a table% larger than the depth%? I guess I was hoping to get something that faces up like a bigger stone.

It and the 1.61 I posted are on the shallow side. You would have to ask JA if it is noticeably darker or more contrasty than an ideal cut stone.
