Hi everyone,

Would you be so kind to tell me if you like this Oval? Pros/Cons? The clearest picture I took was with indoor lighting (in a temp yellow gold setting, unfortunately it wasn't sitting totally face up slightly angled). See the ASET as well. Thanks!

It doesnt look too bad...how does it look as you move? Do more facets come into focus running towards the pointed ends? Are you
getting lots of flashes (lots of mirroring)?
"I" is a little low on the color scale for an oval. Tends to concentrate color but if you're ok with that...

I'm going to link you to a few nice looking ovals so you can compare them to how yours is looking...(not in your size or specs). Watch how more facets
come into focus as the stone turns...I hope yours is doing this.

Thanks for your reply! I have two crude videos I took but I'm not sure I was turning the stone correctly. I think I see lots of flashes and mirroring (but it also could be I'm not sure what I'm looking for ;)
What are your thoughts based on the video? Thanks again!

From what I can see from your videos, a bowtie isn't too evident. If you can take another video, just put the diamond on top of the closed back of your hand, between the fingers. Forgive me for posting a pic of my stone in your thread, but here it is. Then rock your hand left and right, forward and backward and in circles and take a video of that. Do that in various lighting in the room. I would even squat down and do it under the counter away from the professional jewelry store lighting. Take it to a dim corner and near a window. Then you can see how it performs in various lighting.

here's a video of the same stone in "natural " lighting (not spotlights). what do y'all think?

@tyty333, @LLJsmom , would you kindly take a peek at the most recent video I posted to the thread? I'd love to get your opinions! thank you :)

Good video. I like that it was in natural lighting. I like that it was so white, but that is just my preference regarding color. It looked pretty sparkly for an oval. However I immediately noticed the bowtie, sorry. My eyes saw it and then focused on it. Maybe you don't see it. Maybe you do see it and don't mind it. What do you think?

I'm happy you think it appears white as I have been concerned about how it faces up given that it is an I color. I also think it's sparkles a lot.
Regarding the bowtie- I noticed now that you mention it, I didn't take the video exactly facing straight above, rather at an angle so maybe the bowtie is more noticeable? In other photos/video/lighting the bowtie is less noticeable and blends more. Thank you so much for your response @LLJsmom !
