HCA gave score of 0.9 but it's an "I" color so asking for opinion.
I color, vvs2, excellent cut, polish, symmetry.

The true hearts images look decent. It would help to put it on hold so we can see the actual video.

Is there a cultural reason for such high clarity?

When i was checking for James Allen's true heart cut and minimum 1.25 carat sorted by price, found this one has decent priced. I have put a hold on the diamond for now.
My main concern is that is there anything that NEEDS to be better because my knowledge of diamond is limited and just learning as I read.

what's your budget?

Around $5.5k

It looks very nicely cut. All else being equal I don't personally need clarity so high. If I can't see it with my eyes I'm good. But even more exacting standards VS2 is usually very very clean! So you are paying for clarity you may or may not need.

Some cultures and families have values about clarity though -- purity or as a mark of quality. That's subjective, but just wanted to mention it in case you have not thought about it.

I color looks very white to my eyes and if I was looking for a "white" stone I would likely go with that because of the savings over less tinted stones. But compared side by side with a D-E color stone, or even with a G, then it will look a bit warmer. Not yellow per se, but slightly off white. On its own you likely won't notice. But again, some cultures or families have strong feelings about diamond color. It would be good to think about this.

Thank you for your response. You put my mind at ease. I was looking for clarity VS2 and higher but with true hearts cut and at least I color and 1.25 carat. This was the first one sorted by price.
Other wise I'll have to down in clarity (VS2) and carat(1.21) and that will save me $200. So I am not sure if I should do that or keep this one.
I was concerned about color because we see a tint when looking at the magnified image but wanted to get opinion on that.

You can't judge tint from online images because lighting and environment can vary. Have you seen GIA graded diamonds in this color range in person?

I have seen an I colored diamond (not sure which lab) but the lighting in the shop was very different.
