Opinion on this Diamond (EGL)

Hi Guys,

Trying to get a great looking 2ct round at a very reasonable price. Would you steer clear from EGL? They are much cheaper. How is this one?

Not enough info.

Looking for 2 ct on a budget, then EGL is probably the way to go.

The other option is to go for an AGS 000 G, SI1, for slightly more. I''m slightly concerned (aka uninformed) about SI1.

What do you guys think?

2ct SI1 is case by case basis. I think the majority of people with bigger rocks (1.25+) on PS own SI1 stones.

Good gracious, where are you getting 2 ct G SI1 AGS0 for less than 20K?

As far as EGL, my experience has been that stones above the SI clarity gradings, are many times reasonably accurate.

Still the colors need to be checked, as well as the proportions.

RE: The AGS stone... Does it have a newer report with the light performance on it? Could be that if it is an older one it MIGHT grade differently now.

Good question on the light performance. I''ll check it out.

When we conducted http://grading.pricescope.com/ lab survey we found EGL USA was grading very well.
My own experiance with EGL Israel has been very bad.
AGS G SI1 might = EGL H VS2, but the EGL might not be very well cut.
