Hi everyone,

I would really like to know your opinion of this Asscher cut diamond.
I''m a little concern about the I color, but I''m not a diamond expert of any kind, so any opinion is highly appreciated.

Or if you can recommand any vender''s specific stone, that would be even more owesome.

Below is the information from GIA.
Big big thanks in advance.

Would love to see a picture of the stone. It would make it easier to make an assessment.

Good Luck

It is extremely deep. The extra depth makes it face up small. Of course, asschers have to be looked at and you cannot go by numbers alone. Working with a vendor who can supply photos is your best bet.

Thank you for your input.

Here is a picture~

It's actually set as a halo. I fell in love with the ring, but I'm not sure if I should buy an Asscher diamond and set it in a pink halo, or to buy this ring since I'm not familiar with diamonds, especially Asschers.

not too fond of I color in asschers....
that deep it would have to be an antique asscher for me to consider it.
not that likely with a 65% table...
I wouldn''t bother with it....

Is it just me, or are you referring to what I'm seeing, which is that they look like they just stop about halfway to the middle of the stone?

And how did that stone get an EXCELLENT for symmetry? I guess the odd windmills are all symmetrically odd?

If you experts don''t mind me asking some more questions....

Besides "deep depth", "large table", "lower color" that are mentioned,
what are other things should be taken into consideration when choosing an Asscher?

Thank you

I''m glad your passing on this asscher. There is a great thread in the FAQ section, that should bring you up to speed. And almost always we will ask for pics. They tell the real story, more so than the numbers.
