So, I decided to get a Round cut diamond for my upgrade. Below are the stones suggested by the vendor when I contacted them with my criteria.... I would appreciate if expert can chip in the opinions on them..... I''m really focusing on the cut, and want to get the stone above 3ct. Is price for them reasonable?? Is either of them are better than the other? (they are pretty similar) Both comes with GIA certs. Thank you so much in advance!!!

Wow, $60K+ stones. Before you even consider any diamond of THAT price (or any price, for that matter), you need to see some Asset and ideal scope shots to gauge light return.

Can you please post the crown and pavilion angles in addition to the table and depth percentages?

Will you see these in person or are you buying online?

In this case, a Ideal Scope image would probably be more useful because these are rounds, but an ASET would also provide good information.

Thank you!

Vendor told me if I like the stones, they can get them and take all the images for me. I just don''t want to go through with that without knowing these stones are well worth it to begin with..

Can you please type the numbers out here for us? I cannot get your links to be clickable and don't want to hunt it all down

See Lor, that''s why you are the Prosumer

Numbers looks good on both, so I think it is worth calling them in. Price seems good too.

What had happened, the http: was next to the (1) and (2) so it wasn''t recognizing the address, move the http: along a space and voila!

I guess 60K is quite a bit of money~!

But I was quoted $140K for similar stone at Tiffany yesterday, so feel kind of good looking at these numbers,,,

LOL! Both are definitely worth further investigation, so if you could get images that would be the next step.

Both diamonds are listed on Brian Gavin''s website. Is that the vendor you''re working with? He will offer images and a personal inspection of the diamonds. I noticed several slightly smaller diamonds that face up the same size at considerably less price on his site... just a thought.

Yes, that''s the vendor I''m working with. These stones are not in house, so they have to bring them in. Once they have the stone, they''ll send the pics and analysis to me.
Which stones are you talking about?(the smaller stones that face up the same??)

In that case, you will be in excellent hands with Brian and Lesley.

Yes, honestly I trust Brian''s opinion implicitly. Let them help you and you will be happy with the outcome.

also if there is a possible (additional) upgrade in the future, see if these stones would be covered. just in case - from memory BGD upgrade only applies to his signature cut... i am looking for a diamond around the same specs as you (but still early in my search) and now I am thinking that upgrade policy will factor into which vendor i decide to go with.

That is a good point.....

Do you have any setting you are considering?

BTW, are there any diamond show going on/coming soon? My vendor told me there is, and that is affecting the price of round diamonds.........

Looks very promising, do you have any images please?

Bothe BGD and WF are competitvely priced in my experience, for ideal H&A AGSO stones. There are too few comparables to get a good idea of range when I tried using the search tool above. You can save a pretty penny by buying a non-branded cut, but then you will not have the upgrade policy.

Sorry.. these are virtual stones?

Pics look lovely
