I''m not sure how to read this GIA report and I''m finding conflicting information on princess cuts when I research.

Please give you opinions on this grading report...Any opinions would be helpful thank you.

Princess Cut
5.89x5.78x3.88
1.06 Carat
D in colour
SI2
Depth 67.1%
Table 71%
Girdle:Thin to thick
Cutlet: None
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Good
Flourecense: None

SI2 can be eye visible
the numbers are meaningless - request an ASET or at least an Ideal-scope photo.
Good sym and polish is a worry

Good sym and polish is a worry
Garry, why would you say good/good is a "worry"?

Garry, why would you say good/good is a ''worry''?
Off set culet''s give this problem - that is the most common ''worry''.
And the 4 big P1 facets are so close to the octahdra plane they can have a bad polish and dull the stone.

The stone in the image (with the off-center culet) received a GIA good for sym.?

These stars position, size and shapes received a good grade for sym.??? At the GIA???

Calm, no problem...

Still, I am trying to understand why a Good/Good should be an issue to worry?
If a Diamond can have such a bad culet position and still get a good grade for sym..., I would agree with you.

I saw the "diamond map" in the store and nothing jumped out at me. I know there is a small inclusion that I couldn''t see until it was magnified 20x When viewing it under magnification, I was pleased with the symmetry and nothing looked "off" to me.

I was just basically seeing if the specs on it were respectable.

garry pointed out the obvious concerns but if you saw it and loved it....get it

enjoy your new diamond.

A) an SI2 inclusion will be easily seen with a 10x by any professional!!!
B) I have encountered numerous ''professionals'' in this business that had no clue as to notice or grade a Diamond cut or its symmetry...

As far as the specs.., the numbers seem more than fine..., but numbers dont mean a lot!!! Your eyes do mean a lot!
