Hi all - first time poster here!
1.gif

I''m at the tail end of my stone search, and I am torn between three different, but very comparable stones. Here are links to each of them:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/princess_1_62ct_g_vs2.htm

http://www.goodoldgold.com/princess_1_73ct_h_vs11.htm

http://www.superbcert.com/Shop_By_Product/Diamond_Details.cfm/P/695/N/1;1

They are all roughly the same size (the 1.73 is a hair larger.)

Can someone (or several people) please help me understand if they see anything I should be aware of (good OR bad) on any the stones, either from the BrillianceScope report or LightScope / IdealScope images, or anything else, to help me make an even more informed decision.

Thanks!

Either of the three are great. I am a Princess owner and would love to have one the size of any of the three. I have one that is 1.27, G, SI1 and it sparkles BIG TIME. Go with the one you like best considering all three are similar in cut, color and clarity. I vote for the 1.73, it's got awesome specs.

This is a VERY good performer on the BS Ananlysis! It scored VERY HIGH on all three ranges! BUT, it's rectangular and NOT square as many princess are, and most people like...So that's your call. Also I am a color snob, so G over H any day, especially with a VS2, it's just a good combo...

This one is nice and square and no slouch of a performer, but not like the 1.62. This one is also LARGER...which may be slight, but can depend on your taste. Appearance wise, it can be more pleaseing because the shape and size...? Again, what's your priority?

I don't like this one just based on the girdle being Extremely thin to thick. That's too much of a disparity and I am not impressed by the precision on that one.

The Brilliant Scope takes into account different types of light and the stone's reaction to those lights. White light are the white sparkles, the color light is what we call "fire", that shows those color flashes in lower lighting, and scintillation is the black and white contrasts of the stone that give it life. The higher scores are better, of course, and the 1.62 had the BEST...but it's also rectangular, and not square. I say call Jonathan and see what he can tell you about his stones! He's a real help!!! See if Whiteflash can provide any such tests on their stone....

Thanks!

How do the LightScope images look for the different stones? Does one look better than the other, or should I care more about the BrillianceScope results?

I don't see the 1.62 as being all that rectangular....the GIA certs greatly exaggerate the shape...and I have found that that might actually help to make it look slightly larger. My 2cents!

They all are talking to me and saying (in their own little voices) - "pick ME!"

I prefer the 1.62. It's B Scope results are amazing. It also shows lots of darks and reds in the center. And it's a G. I don't go lower than that! Either way, best of luck!
