I received this price this weekend?

Round cut 1.77c VS1 H color, depth was good with platinum band and 2 side stones (32 points each/64 total)
$7500 total GIA certified

Compared to some other dealers this sounds very cheap. Should I be wondering why it is this price or be weary. It is GIA certified. Any opinions, please.

The price does sound extremely low. Do you have any other info such as on cut ? Table, depth, crown angle, pavilion angle, symmetry, polish? Should all be on the GIA report (except for the angles). See if they can get you a Sarin report on the stone, that will tell you more about the cut.

If it's a good cut, this is an excellent deal. But for a price this low, chances are the cut is not that great. A very well cut 1.75 H VS stone would at least be around $15k depending on where you purchase from. So this stone is 1/2 the price with side stones and a plat setting? Sounds a little fishy.

Good luck!
