Hello!

I would love some advice on my first proper diamond purchase please. We are looking to replace my long lost engagement ring and have been speaking with Eternity by Yoni for a diamond and setting. Our budget is approx $6200. I am looking for a 1.15 - 1.2 ct I colour, eye clean SI1 with an excellent/ideal cut. I don't mind fluorescence in the stone. The setting that I like is $1600 and Yoni has recommended this diamond for $4696:

Carat weight: 1.15
Cut: Excellent
Color: I
Clarity: SI1
Price per carat: $4083
Depth %: 60.4
Table %: 59
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to Medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: Medium
Measurements: 6.78 x 6.80 x 4.10

They also made the additional comments after checking with the vendor:

"We checked with the vendor and the flr. doesnt affect the stone. Not
milky at all. Comments on the stone are: H&A I++ SI1+

That means its borderline H color and a clean SI1. Hearts and Arrows."

I have attached the images provided.

Could you kindly offer any comments on this diamond?

Many thanks!

Hi there!

Do you have more info on the proportions of the diamond? Ie, crown angle, pavilion angle? It has a large table so it will face up bright but at the expense of fire. Any chance you can get an IS or ASET of it? How far away is it eye clean?

The hearts and arrows photos are pretty small but from looking at the hearts I'm not sure it would meet the strictest standards of a hearts and arrows precision cut diamond. That won't detract from the beauty of the diamond if it's not though.

Thank you JDDN and Solgen, I really appreciate your comments. Thank you also Solgen for finding the GIA cert! I have replied to Yoni with the questions and I'll see what he comes back with. I put the measurements from the GIA cert into the HCA tool and it came back with a score of 1.4 which is a good start.
