I really don’t have info on this emerald ring other than the seller says emerald, 14kt yg, and diamond tested positive. I like the ring but I don’t know the price point for emerald or what type of emerald this is. I see inclusion and the surface seem to be scratch. Could the scratch be polished out? The seller wants $850. Is this reasonable price?

I would be wary of buying anything on the basis of “buyer says”. If you love it can you make your purchase returnable and take it to an appraiser? If it’s all as the buyer stated then the price seems ok, but not an absolute bargain.

I do not believe the scratch can be buffed out. Emeralds are too fragile.
