Hi all, long time listener, first time caller. I am making my wife some studs and wanted the community's feedback about these stones. They are just over 1ct each, L color and VS2 clarity, and are part of the jeweler's H&A collection which includes AGS000 certificates. I got them for what I think is a really great price (after much research about the expected prices of stones like these); perhaps almost a little too good, hence me looking for some input from the community. The jeweler is a reputable and well known one that many on this forum have bought from. Attached are the AGS certs and pics of the H&As that I screenshot. I would greatly appreciate anyone's honest thoughts (positive or negative! cert (1).jpg cert.jpg 233 A.png 233 H.png 236 A.png 236 H.png ).

From the ASETs and ideal scopes they look beautifully cut and should be TOP performers!!! My only concern is that L color is definitely warm but I'm not sure how noticeable that will be once on the ears. I can tell you they won't look white white, maybe more like creamy off white - I don't personally prefer MRBs in lower colors (as opposed to antique stones), but there are lots of people who do and there's nothing wrong with that!!

They are well cut and are AGS000s so they should be very good performers. Hopefully the Ls will work out for you. Let us know what you think of them when you get them.

AGS0 stones are top notch. You got the price you did for that size and clarity because of the L color. Have you seen these stones in real life? I'm not bothered by warmth, my avatar is a K (at least -uncerted).

My earrings are AGS0 are J and I and SI 1 and 2. They are plenty white for earrings, though are smaller than what you're looking at. Color will show a bit more as you go up in size.

So…If you worry about the color see if you find a higher color in some SI stones in your budget range.

Otherwise, this awesomely cut pair set in yellow, rose, or unplated white gold, will probably be fine. Or, as mentioned above, and since nobody will be louping your wife's ears (?) you might be able financially to bump up a color grade or two by dropping the clarity by a grade or two.

But yah keep the AGS0 cut

Beautifully cut stones. Love the IS and H&A imagery!

These should look beautiful in the studs you are planning for your wife.

CUt if King. But I also wonder how warm the L will be ...They are beautiful stones

Looks like they will be beautiful!! Size is great for pair of studs. I'm partial to warm diamonds, K's, L's & M's all the way baby!!! Color is about personal preference. Cut is king!!!:)

Thanks for all the helpful responses. Does anyone have any further thoughts regarding setting in rose or yellow gold? I had assumed I'd do white gold or platinum. Wouldn't rose or yellow tend to make the stones appear even warmer?

To those who asked, I'm getting the loose stones on Monday and will post some pictures. I have a 30 day guarantee to decide what to do.
