It scores a 3.7 on the HCA. I think you can do better as far as cut goes.

Generally, people on pricescope do not like round diamonds with a table as large as this one. At 62%, it is pretty far out of the range that we usually try to aim for which is around 54-58ish.

The table % prevents it from receiving "Excellent" in cut. It will be a spready, bright stone. I like to see table/crown combos resulting in 14-16% crown height for a nice balance of fire. This one falls a bit short. GIA rounds crown and pavilion angle data so we don''t know quite what side of 41/35 it falls on... That could make a further difference in crown vs pavilion relationship. No way to know actual light return or cut precision without seeing an ideal-scope or ASET photo. And, of course, the SI2 is an unknown to us. Have you seen it?

Really? I have seen it and I think it is beautiful. And I prefer a large table. What do you think is an acceptable price for this?

the inclusion is a bubble off to the side that i can see but i had to look for it. it is not for me, and the person who is buying it had trouble finding it and says it does not bother her at all. if for nothing else, she likes the fact that there is a "birthmark" so that she will always know it is her stone.

That's what matters. Assuming you have compared it side by side with other makes (diamonds with smaller tables/higher crowns) through many different lighting conditions - away from jewelers' spotlights - it sounds like you are a "60/60" lover (diamonds with near-60% table and near-60% depth). That bodes well for your diamond future because there are far more 60/60 makes out there than near-Tolkowskys, etc.

If she likes it, then that''s all that matters! This forum mainly prefers and recommends ideal and excellent cut, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
