Opinion on a diamond for Vatche Engagement Ring

Hi all,

I just want to say how useful this website has been for me in looking for an engagement ring. You guys really know your stuff!

I am looking for the perfect diamond for a Vatche Caroline ring in yellow gold. I am keen on either Infinity or ACA as have read good things on these threads about them. I have recieved fantastic service from both Whiteflash and HPD.

I am currently between 2 diamonds:

1. This is a 0.74ct VS1 H infinity. I was initially thinking of this because of the yellow gold setting (perhaps the extra money for lower colour is unnecessary) https://www.hpdiamonds.com/en-us/diamonddetail/HPD9523

2. This one as suggested as an option from HPD is an infinity F 0.82ct S12. Ita more expensive- bigger but with less clarity (they reassure me that the inclusions are very difficult to see)

I am siding with ordering from HPD due to the fact that the setting is more reasonably priced than at Whiteflash, and obviously they both have a great return policy.

Would very much appreciate your opinions on which diamond to go for.

I'm seeing #2 as an SI1, not SI2. I was going to say to go with #1 due to SI2 clarity for #2. But, I think you'll enjoy the couple extra mm in size with the second one.

Looks like HPD9372 is actually F-SI1 not SI2.

I think either one would be a great option! I might go with #2 just because it is slightly bigger and higher in color. That's just me, I prefer size and color over clarity.

Thanks, i was edging towards this one- just wasnt sure whether the colour would be wasted on a yellow gold setting.
