Hi everyone,

I''ve been lurking for a while and learned a lot and now we''re ready to make a purchase. We''re thinking of a stone and just wondering what everyone thinks about this stone. We want something nice but on a tight budget. Any input would be much apprieciated. Thanks in advance! :)

Price: $8k
Carat weight: 2.53
Cut: Ideal
Color: I
Clarity: SI2
Depth %: 60.6%
Table %: 59%
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 8.84 x 8.81 x 5.35 mm
Crown Angle: 14%
Pavilion Angle :43%
Graining: Very Slight

The numbers look very promising. For round diamond, crown and pavilion angles provide more accurate information. Is it possible to get an idealscope and regular images of this stone?

Unfortunately, I was told that I can''t get these images until I purchase the stone and send it to an appraiser.

You might want to confirm with the appraiser that they will take picture of the idealscope. For SI grade, you should ask them to make sure it is eye clean from face up and side view

Well it appears to be decently cut but the price is a big flag.....Is it EGL graded? If so then which EGL lab? EGL USA is said to be the strongest of the EGL labs, the others less so. I would definitely make any sale final on this stone checking out with an independant appraisal and get that agreement in writing. There is a chance it could grade considerably lower depending, such as J or K colour and I1 or I2 in clarity. Is this diamond eyeclean?
