Hi there,

I have been reading posts here for a few months now while searching for an engagement ring. I am very happy a place like this exists to help educate people like myself. I feel much better about my knowledge and hopefully with my diamond selection.

My parameters were for a Princess diamond to hit around 1.20ct range, maximize the cut and not go below I color. The setting will be a relatively simple solitaire with prongs.

I am now considering purchasing the following diamond and have it on hold with Whiteflash:
http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2985950.htm

I was wondering if you would be kind enough to please provide me with your feedback. If this one does not look good, there are a few other Whiteflash Princess ACA's around the same size/price/quality range as well that I could consider.

Thanks in advance.

Hello
Im no expert but do have a princess cut diamond and love them. I put your stones figures through the cut class tool (under the TOOLS tab up the top) and it came back overall as a 1B which is pretty good! The thing that let it down a little bit is it depth, it seems quite a deep stone, and you could have something that faces up larger by decreasing the depth. Obviously you dont want to buy a shallow stone and cut is paramount. I think this will be a lovely stone but you could potentially find something a tiny bit bigger in spread. Im doing an assignment currently but will have a hunt for you. I also think Whiteflash ACA will mostly be a safe choice!
