Opinion: Cushion Cut Diamond

Hi there.

First time posting and a relative newbie to the diamond market.

I have seen the following rock and would like to get this forum''s expert opinion on it.

Cushion Cut Diamond
1.71
G Color
VS2 Clarity
6.85x6.43x4.50
L/W Ratio = 1.07
GemScan Certified/laser inscription/appraisals.

This would be on a tiffany novo style ring with the 16 0.2 carat stones on the side.

The price is $10.9 K Canadian (cash) no tax including everything.

What do you think??????????

We can''t tell you anything about the cushion without pictures. Sorry! Cushions are all so different, there is no way to know if it''s a dog or not without pictures.

I agree with Neat, we can''t really help without pictures and also if you can get one, an ASET image is very useful for judging cushions. I take it you have seen this cushion? That is a good start as cushions can present a very different appearance to each other.

I''ll try to obtain a picture tomorrow as well as more details on the specs.

I''m a little concern as of late as I''ve been ready a lot about Gem Scan certificates and their validity and reliableness.

Should I be concerned? This seems to be a Toronto or Canadian specific cert but their diamonds are very common in the market.
