Hi ladies (and gentlemen) - been lurking for a long time - gorgeous pearls!

I'm getting a surprise gift for my mom (she already has a beautiful double akoya strand - not sure if Mikimoto - with pinkish overtones that my father bought in Japan more than 25 years ago)... my budget is somewhat limited, but these are the ones I've narrowed down to:

baroque/ drop South Sea:

https://www.pearlparadise.com/colle...mm-aa-aaa-white-south-sea-drop-pearl-necklace

and this rather luscious Edison strand:

Given the options, which would you choose? Thank you so much in advance!

Is this a duplicate thread? I like the Pearl Paradise strand. It's more ringed, but more symmetrical, which I personally like. The Pure Pearls WSS strand is beautiful too. I would pass on the Edison strand for the price.

It was posted on the other forum also-- that's why it looks familiar!

hello - thank you for your replies! I posted here because I was new to the other forum, and my thread didn't show up... (but it did, later, once a mod had approved it!)

as you probably know, a few of the nice PP strands got snapped up within a few hours of my post! Unfortunately not by me. The search continues...

If you didn't make a purchase yet, Naughton Braun sells some really pretty large Edison pearls in a lovely pink for about half the price, try Cherry Blossom

They see to use a name I'm not familiar with Biawa pearls. Is that a 'branded' name. They are using it for bead nucleated freshwater pearls so I'm a bit confused.
