Recently compared a diamond from a jeweler (local diamond setter; will be making custom mounting)to one on the Internet. The stone specifications were exactly the same. We haven't checked yet to see if the certificate number will read the same. But the price difference is $1000+.

- Shape: Round
- Carat: 0.93
- Color: E
- Clarity: VVS2
- Symmetry: Good
- Diameter: 6.27 x 6.30 x 3.90
- Depth %: 62.1
- Table %: 53
- Cutlet: No (infinity)
- Girdle: Medium
- Polish: Very good
- Fluorescence: No
- Certificate: GIA

Jeweler price: 6398.00
Abazias.com: 5348.66

Questions:
1.) Is this a good stone?
2.) What is a reasonable price?
2.) What accounts for the price difference between the jeweler and online store?
3.) How do you negotiate to get the online price.

Thank you in advance for your help! :))

Many internet brokers re-list diamonds that are posted in the big B2B trading network. Your jeweler can have access to the same diamonds as the Internet brokers.

Internet brokers however have less overhead and can operate at lower cost than brick-n-mortar store.[/u]
