I have had my Tacori setting for 1 1/2 years now (at least 6 months of which I did not wear the ring because of swelling when I was pregnant) during this time it has been to the jeweler at least 5 times, most of the time it is because the little stones in the crescent shapes on the sides of the ring fall out. Every time the jeweler cleans my ring a stones falls out. Each time they repair the ring it comes back with something else wrong, this time the milligrain on one side of the ring is almost buffed completely smooth, parts of the platinum underneath the diamond appear "wavy" and next to the prong on one of the side stones a little chunk of platinum is gone. The jeweler also fixed what he called "flashing" at one of the prongs (what is flashing?), now the prongs on one side of my ring are visibly shorter that the other. I am so frustrated at this point, I feel sick over this.
My jeweler told me he would contact Tacori to see what they could do for me, it took him over 3 weeks to get back with me even though I had called and left 2 messages with him. He told me Tacori wants me to send my rings in to them for evaluation. I dropped my rings off to him yesterday and pointed out the things that were bothering me, his response was "this is what happens when you have handmade rings", he also told me that nobody else can see it so it shouldn''t really matter - well I can see it and it bothers me!! my husband paid alot of money for these rings and it just seems so "high maintenance", the platinum is thinning on one side of my ring as well. I only wear my rings when I go out and to work. Is this odd to show this much wear so soon?
I really do regret choosing a Tacori setting. I feel stuck, I don''t really know what options I have at this point.
Hopefully this makes sense, I have a 2.5 year old climbing on me as I type
