So here is the diamond I'm now looking at... its a bit smaller and a bit more expensive, but please let me know what you guys think

Certification: GIA
Carats: 1.81
Color: G
Cut: Excellent (Symmetry: Excellent, Polish: excellent)
Clarity: Internally flawless
Fluorescence: None
HCA score: 1.1

Pricing is right around $26k. Would appreciate any and all thoughts on this; is the color too low? Will it be noticeably smaller than a 2.0?

Thanks all!

Why IF? That's eating a lot of your budget. A G is plenty white (I have several). And this is a 60/60 stone - some people like the look, others don't.

While I do normally like smaller tables, I think this one is worth looking into. A 2ct stone measures at 8mm and considering this is a more shallow stone and the mm's are 7.92mm it will look very close to a 2 so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm also wondering about the IF...do you need it?

Here's one I found...you can ask them how white it faces up. But it's over 2ct and is very clean and a true H&A...

That is really the size I am looking for, because staying just under 2 cts keeps one under the huge price increase at 2 cts. I also prefer a smaller table, but this is more the 60/60 style cut that gets you a little more spread. I personally would not want to pay for IF, but if that is the spec you have to sacrifice to get what you want, I guess it is okay. But you'd have to compare the price with 2 ct G VS stones to see if it is worth it.
