Hi All,
I have a RB 1.5ct. diamond that was purchased almost 30 years ago ... comes with a GIA cert, but was from a time when the consumer focus was more on clarity/color vs. technicalities of cut (my how times have changed!!).
It''s a VVS1 with I color and has brought me joy for many years however it does have a 64% table and I believe 62%+ depth. Yes, you can see the fisheye, but still is quite lively/sparkly & currently mounted in a pendant. I don''t have any crown/pavilion angles or any other measurements.
With all of my research on PS, I would love to get it recut to maximize its beauty and to feel really good about it. Can anyone recommend a fab diamond cutter? Anyone else been through the process? Approximately how much of the diamond weight will I lose to turn it into an ideal knockout? Your help/input is so appreciated!!
