Old YG wedding band...repurposing

i own a YG plain wedding band that belonged to a late, great aunt whom I never met. She was gone by the time I was born. I wear it when I don’t want to wear my higher set solitaire. Love the band! I have always thought of having some small colored gemstones and/or diamonds flush mounted into it just to bling it up some..keeping a low profile. I love the look. Thoughts? It is about 1/2” wide with a slight dome.

I have the wedding band of my grandma, and I asked the jeweler to put some cz in it. It’s a rose gold band, at about 2.2 mm, and I use it for stacking. It was worth for me, and maybe in the future I change the cz to diamonds. You can find a picture of my ring in the Stack of the day thread.

Love repurposing Jewellery. A thought, you could choose “relevant to you” gemstones ie if you have children / DH / mum etc use their birthstones as the gems to set in.

Nope...I forgot to have kids. But yes, I could use birthstones of my immediates! I already have an emerald ring that represents my mom.

I wonder how much this idea would cost vs just buying a “mothers’” ring....
