I recently received a new engagement ring. I am pairing it with my original wedding band, which I am very sentimental about. However, because the rings are not a “set,” they don’t perfectly match. Would this bother you? Do you think they match closely enough? TIA!3A525A6D-7DC5-4A9D-970B-7677D42DD6A1.png3FD590AB-4048-4076-B36F-5ED201A016C4.png

Personally, no it would not bother me. My wedding set was not flushed at all and overall I was ok with it. Your set actually sits closer together than mine did.

It’s hardly noticeable but more noticeable to you. So it comes down to preference, really.

It would not bother me at all!

I think they look great together! Sentiment trumps all else. Would love to see more pictures of your rings!

It wouldn't bother me either. I agree that match-y, match-y can be less attractive, sometimes, than having some type of contrast.

Another vote for "post more pictures, please!" I'd love to see more of your set. It looks gorgeous.

HI:

Gosh I thought they were a "set"! I love your Tiffany solitaire!!! Tell us ALL about it!:lol-2:

cheers--Sharon

Love your new diamond ring!

No it wouldnt bother me either
But im not married so what would i know
Your new ring is beautiful

Thanks to everyone for their kind words. The ring is from BGD, and the center stone is a 1.91 K VS2.

Mine is not flush. It is my little secret! I am good.

From the pics, I would have never guessed the stone was a K color. it looks whiter. Good for you. Good size as well (to avoid paying a fortune for crossing that 2ct line.)

Your set is beautiful! Looks great!

Perfect imperfections! Looks fabulous!

Oh no, those look terrible, take them off and mail to me right away.
Seriously, those lovely rings on your beautiful hands, each marking a different time in your life? What could be better?

I never thought of it that way! Thank you!

If it bothers you what about adding a small rose gold between them or a diamond eternity at some point (small one) so they don’t sit right next to each other.
Your ring is beautiful!
