"Old" tanzanite...

I just got a hold of these pictures, and thought I'd share..

I've heard forever that the original source of tanzanite (D Block?) played out years ago....

Tiffany introduced and marketed Tanzanite in the first place, and since this ring is a Tiffany, circa 1964, I presume this is one of the earlier stones... Not too much violet in it, is there?

It''s 7.12cts. And I was off a year. Said to be circa 1965.
