Old mine and rose cut brooch

Yay! My local jeweller also has some vintage pieces he sells and he knows of my love for antique pieces. So whenever some old cuts arrive (which hardly ever happens) I get a call. He shows me this lovely and I ... oh ah, what to do, nothing really left of my bling budget, but the price is absolutely fair and I MUST safe the piece! So here it is!
6 old mine cuts of 3.7 ctw (included but sparkly) and 36 rose cuts.
I thought you might enjoy looking at it as well, so I share!

Thank you! It is incredibly sparkly . Well, my jeweller meant it’d be easy to convert it into a pendant and at the same time leave it as a brooch. I might do that. I actually like brooches, but am scared of loosing them. How would you seen it been converted into a bracelet? Hmmmm... need to think about it!

This is beautiful so glad you saved it! It would be so pretty set as a necklace. I’ve seen where people add chains that can be removed and still be worn as a brooch.

I know there was a PS’er who would pin a brooch to a thick leather bracelet, I can’t remember who now, let me see if I can find an example. I like the idea of a pendant/brooch!

Search “pin clutch” on etsy, etc. If the brooch clasp accidentally is undone the clutch will catch on the fabric and stop the brooch from falling off.



I’ve also used those little silicone ear backs in a pinch.
